This program is beneficial for adults who are at high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes.
If you have 1 or more of the following risk factors, this program is for you!
- Overweight, especially in the stomach area
- High blood pressure
- High cholesterol
- Low physical activity levels
- Diabetes during pregnancy
Participants work toward achieving 2 main goals
- Lose a minimum of 5% initial weight
- Increase mild physical activity to a minimum of 150 minutes weekly
We meet in groups at various times/locations
Weekly for 11 weeks, followed by bi-weekly for 7 weeks
Education Topics include
- Healthy Eating
- Move Those Muscles
- Problem Solving
- Mindful Eating
- Stress Management
- And Much More!
Participants can self-refer or have their health care provider refer to us. This program is FREE!
