The AFHT understands that these are challenging times in health care, particularly for those who are not rostered with a doctor or nurse practitioner (NP). We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on recruiting more primary care providers to the area and increasing access to the Annex for unattached patients.
Health Care Connect is now better supported and does NOT require you to detach from a doctor you may have elsewhere in Ontario.
We are strongly encouraging all patients without a doctor or NP to register on the Health Care Connect waitlist, including anyone who is already registered on the Algonquin Family Health Team waitlist. Local doctors and NPs will use both waitlists to attach patients.
You can register even if you already have a doctor or nurse practitioner.
